Marking the Passage of Time

One of our staffers recalls the first time she spotted two fine lines on her face, one under each eye. Not realizing they were fine lines, but rather thinking they were cracks from hastily applied concealer, she spent more than a few minutes rubbing the skin under her eyes in an effort to even out said concealer. 5 minutes, and two angry patches of irritated skin later, it dawned on her that she had developed her first wrinkles without nary a warning.

Since that time, our staffer has become reconciled to the lines. After all, each line is more than just a disturbance in an otherwise smooth face. The lines under her eyes mark the passage of time- of the move from girl to woman, a move she would not want to reverse. They reflect late nights pouring over textbooks, late nights dancing with friends, the giddy feelings of the first stirrings of love, tears shed from heartbreak, pride over successes, doubt from failures. The lines reflect each moment, each step, each decision that has made her into the person she is today.

With that being said, she was one of the most enthusiastic volunteers to test one of the latest additions to our skincare line- the new Youthful Eye Contour Creme. After all, while she embraces the two lines currently under her eyes as a symbol of her growth into a woman with a strong sense of self, she does not feel the need to add to those lines just yet either.
