Imrana’s Super Simple Skin Care Routine
The first step to looking and feeling beautiful is having great skin. Also, the better your skin the less makeup required. As a mom of two kids, clear radiant skin isn’t always easy to achieve, but is still very important to me. I certainly don’t have the same amount of time to get ready in the morning as I once did in my ancient single days, a simpler routine works better with my schedule.
My daily routine:
Morning: I apply a pea-sized amount of an acne preventative facial cleanser onto a cleansing brush and lightly scrub my face and neck. Then I apply a moisturizer all over my face and neck, avoiding the eye area. I finish with an anti-aging eye cream to correct wrinkles caused by squinting during allergy season.
Night: I do try to wash my face every night, but if exhaustion intrudes (and it does), I simply (but always) remove my makeup with an anti-aging wipe. I apply an eye cream every other night to give my skin a break.
Weekly:
I wish I had time for weekly facials, but with two young kids, a business, and school, they are a luxury I cannot afford. So to give my face that fresh out-of-the-spa look, I do weekly at-home facials. Because it’s hard to find time for a facial, I do a reverse facial where I put on a mask first then jump in the shower after 15 min to wash off. I quickly scrub my face, neck, and chest with warm water to open up my pores. Then I splash cold water on my face to close up my pores, pat dry, and apply my moisturizer.
This is my super simple skin care routine.
