How about a Consumer Review?
Hey everybody! I’ve been blogging about SANY Skincare for a few weeks now and I haven’t given you my take on the products yet and I think it’s time. I’ve had my products, the buffing exfoliating cleaner and the tangerine luxe mask, for a few weeks, which means I’ve waited out any transition period and can review with confidence. First, it’ll probably help you to know what kind of skin I have so here are my specs, followed by my reviews:
Skin Type: Fair and Dry
Skin Conditions: Rare Acne (around the bridge of my nose when it happens)
Concerns: Dryness, fine lines, and other early signs of aging (I’m young yet!)
Step 1: the cleanser
I start with this product. I put a dab on a warm moistened washcloth (don’t judge, I’m saving for a Mia) and then gently but thoroughly massage the cleanser over my face and neck. I pay particular attention to the creases of my nose because even though I don’t really have black heads and have never had acne there, I worry it’ll happen; I’m weird like that, I guess. The cleanser feels like a creamy polish made up of the finest beach sand, the kind that comes from far flung beaches in exotic locales (corny, I know, but it’s true!). I can’t explain why exotic beaches have that great sand; they just do. And this cleanser reminds me of that amazing tingly happy feeling you get when you wriggle your toes in it. I know, I’m waxing poetic, but I’m a literature student/instructor after all and this product deserves the praise. Also, I didn’t feel like I was scratching a layer of skin off, which is usually how I feel about exfoliating cleaners, but I still saw the difference afterwards. My skin looked fresher and felt great. No redness or irritation. The cleanser rinses off easily too.
Step 2: the mask
2-3 times a week I follow up my cleanser with the tangerine mask. Guys, I LOVE this stuff. I have such dry skin and so many masks leave me feeling drier or like nothing happened. This mask works! I was a little worried when it dried on my face and gave me that tight feeling, but once I rinsed it off, my skin felt amazing! Seriously, it was luminous and felt dewy and all that jazz. This stuff also smells amazing! And I don’t like scented products that much. They give me headaches. This mask seriously smells like tangerine, but softer, like a peach with citrus notes. It also rinses off easily so no irritation or redness either. Definitely a favorite for me.
So to sum up my experiences, I love these products. I didn’t need a transition period. My skin loved them from the get go. My skin is generally pretty easy going though, but it is so dry that I do notice rather quickly when something isn’t helping. I noticed the first day that SANY Skincare helped and I’ve noticed it since.
PS: While I was writing up this blog post, someone praised my “fresh face.” And here’s the thing: I was running late this morning and didn’t wash my face (gross, I know, but it rarely happens!) or put on my AM moisturizer or even any makeup. I was joking that since we’re just giving exams all day that I didn’t care that I looked like a zombie (I didn’t get much sleep either). But my other instructor gave me a really surprised look and said I looked really fresh faced even though it was horribly early for a Saturday morning. I had used the cleanser and mask just last night and apparently it works hard even hours later. Thanks, Sany! When I’m sleep derived and rushed, your products have my back!
